I've spent my whole career standing up for our region – from helping the Upper Spencer Gulf cities to plan their economic future, to growing local university education from 14 students to 500 across the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Far North and Eyre Peninsula.
I've seen how our communities step up and get things done, whether it's farmers working together on a local Landcare project, our coastal Councils forming an alliance to safeguard our beaches and jetties, or the Port Augusta community taking matters into their own hands and voting for a transition to solar thermal power.
I'm running as an Independent because I believe our communities need strong, independent leadership and representation in Parliament. Not someone who follows party lines, but someone who asks two simple questions about every decision: Is it fair? And is it good for our region? Because decisions about our future should start with us.
